Budapest - Hungary

Budapest, the captivating capital of Hungary, is a city of stunning architecture, rich history, and vibrant culture. Formed by the merger of two cities, Buda and Pest, separated by the majestic Danube River, Budapest has been inhabited since ancient times, with settlements dating back to the Roman era.

Throughout its history, Budapest has been influenced by various cultures, including the Romans, Ottomans, and Austrians, resulting in a unique blend of architectural styles and traditions. The city's iconic landmarks reflect this rich heritage, from the grandeur of Buda Castle and Matthias Church to the ornate Parliament Building, a symbol of Hungary's independence and sovereignty.

Visitors can also explore the historic thermal baths, such as the Széchenyi and Gellért Baths, which have been soothing weary travelers for centuries. The picturesque Fisherman's Bastion offers panoramic views of the city, while the bustling Great Market Hall entices visitors with its array of local delicacies and handicrafts.

I love to go out for party and for dinner as well in the Jewish quarter, which still houses on of the biggest synagogues in the world. For food I highly recommend Kőleves, Gettó Gúylas and Mazel Tov. For some drinks afterwards don’t miss out on Szimpla kert.

The best time to visit Budapest is during the spring months of April to June or the autumn months of September to November when the weather is mild, and the city is less crowded. Avoiding the peak tourist season in July and August ensures a more relaxed experience.

With its blend of history, architecture, and natural beauty, Budapest promises an unforgettable journey through the heart of Hungary's cultural capital.
